Advantages of using a VORTISAND filter
The VORTISAND
® filter achieve very fine filtration at high rate while requiring much less water than traditional swimming pool filters for backwashing. Finer sand is used without clogging resulting in filtration down to 2 microns compared to 10 - 15 microns for conventional filters.

Standard control panel equipped with PLC and OIU. Filtration, backwash, and rinse cycles are started and ended by either a differential pressure sensor or a timing device sending a signal to the stager which operates the valve sequence. If the system has not stored enough contaminants to activate the pressure sensor, the PLC will force the system into backwash cycle minimizing the possibility of bacteria and algae build-up within the vessel.
Not only will the VORTISAND filter give a superior quality of water, it will also pay for itself by the savings achieved. No traditional filter will pay for itself because it does not achieve savings.
